The Standard Response Protocol (SRP) uses five simple actions: Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter. Regular drills help students and staff become familiar with these responses so they know what to do in a variety of situations.
Practicing SRP drills helps:
✅ Build confidence and preparedness
✅ Reduce confusion during emergencies
✅ Reinforce safety procedures and expectations
✅ Improve communication and response times
✅ Create a safer learning environment for everyone

Last week, our teachers and staff officially kicked off the 2026–2027 school year with our Welcome Back Launch of Mission: Every Mustang a Leader! 🚀🐴
From campus PD to district PD, our Mighty Mustang team was out there learning, growing, collaborating, and proudly representing RCLS! ❤️💛 We learned together, enjoyed lunch as a team, prepared our classrooms, and wrapped up the week with a successful Meet the Teacher!
It was so exciting to see our Mustang families back on campus and feel the energy building for the year ahead. 🐴❤️
But we’re not done yet!
Today, our team had one more day to prepare, learn, and get mission-ready before we welcome our Mighty Mustangs back TOMORROW! 🎒✨
