One notification can become one distraction. One distraction can mean missing directions, an important lesson or a chance to connect with classmates.
Together, we can keep classrooms focused on what matters most: our students and their success.

In an emergency, Edgewood ISD of San Antonio uses a structured reunification process to safely reconnect students with their families. Identification is verified, students are released only to authorized individuals, and every student is accounted for. We hope we never need it, but being prepared helps keep everyone safe. Preparation brings peace of mind.

The Standard Response Protocol (SRP) helps schools respond quickly and appropriately to different situations. Depending on the type of emergency, staff may initiate a Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, or Shelter response.
By using clear, consistent actions, students and staff know exactly what to do when seconds matter most. Practicing these responses helps create a safer, more prepared EISD.
